Mvura Ichanaya is the debut album of London based, Botswana raised, marimba percussionist Otto Gumaelius and his African marimba band, Otto & The Mutapa Calling.

The album is a collection of original arrangements of traditional songs from southern Africa alongside some of Otto’s own original compositions. All songs were recorded using soprano, tenor and baritone marimbas, with drumming, hosho, singing, clapping and mbira accompanying on various songs. The tracks on this album include Mvura Ichanaya, Dineo, Mhondoro, Mancube, Hondo, Ke Ne Ke Le Kae, Hlonolofatsa, Gandanga and Kusarima.

Mvura Ichanaya was released in July 2018.
