Band Booking Terms & Conditions
RESERVATION POLICY:
Your booking will only be considered confirmed once we have received a completed booking form and your deposit. At that point, the date will be reserved for you, and we will not accept any other bookings for your date / time slot.
If we have agreed to hold a date for you but no deposit has been paid, should someone else enquire about the same date we will inform you and provide you with 5 days to confirm your booking and pay your deposit. If your deposit remains unpaid after 5 days, we will release the date to the other enquirer with immediate effect.
All expenses, including transport and accommodation, are included in the quoted fee, unless otherwise stated.
Where amplification is required, we are typically only able to bring vocal microphones. For performances requiring full amplification of the instruments, it is your responsibility to provide any equipment required. If you would like the band to provide this, we will have to quote for this separately.
PAYMENT:
We require a 50% deposit to confirm your booking, unless otherwise discussed or agreed. Your deposit is non-refundable. Deposits are to be paid by BACS (bank transfer). Bank details will be provided on your invoice.
Your outstanding balance must be cleared two weeks before the date of your booking. Your outstanding balance is to be paid by BACS (bank transfer). Failure to settle the balance in full before the date of your booking will result in an automatic cancellation of your booking and any payments received will be non-refundable.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
To cancel your booking, please send an email to info@tasteofsouthernafrica.com to inform us.
Paid deposits are non-refundable.
For cancellations made more than four weeks to the date of your engagement, deposits and balances can be transferred to a new date, provided the band is available on the new date. Where the band is not available for the new date, no refund will be available.
For cancellations made less than four weeks to the date of your engagement, it will not be possible to transfer your booking to a new date and no refund will be possible.
Cancellations made less than two weeks to the date of your engagement will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Refunds can be considered in exceptional cases, but this remains at our full discretion, and a 10% admin fee will be charged.
In the highly unlikely instance that the band is not able to fulfill a booking, we will inform you immediately and assist as far as we can to find a suitable alternative. You will be entitled to a full refund of your deposit and any other money paid.
BAND REQUIREMENTS:
It is your responsibility to ensure the band has a solid, dry, stable floor to perform on. The band will not perform if it is deemed unsafe to do so.
If playing outdoors, it is your responsibility to ensure there is a shelter available for the band to play under in case of rain. If no shelter is provided and it starts raining, the performance will be terminated immediately.
Two parking spaces will be required, depending on the size of the band you have booked. It is your responsibility to ensure parking is available for the band.
Where possible, the band requires a secure room to change in, and to leave valuables in whilst performing.
Please ensure the band is provided with drinking water during the performance. Other refreshments, if relevant or available, will be greatly appreciated.
