Marimba and Mbira Music Workshop
Join us for our monthly Taste of Southern Africa marimba and mbira music workshop where you will have the opportunity to play both the marimba and mbira from southern Africa, with singing! Learn, play and create beautiful melodies from Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana in a marimba band ensemble setting using soprano, tenor and baritone marimbas.
Mbira (12:45pm - 2:00pm)
Relax through music by learning to play the mbira nyunga nyunga (kalimba) from Zimbabwe. This mbira workshop will cover mainly folk music from Zimbabwe and include singing.
